The Transworld Group of Companies (www.transworld.co) was established in 1976 by its Founder Chairman Mr. R. Sivaswamy, as a shipping company at Mumbai. The company later established its corporate head quarters at Dubai in 1981 under the leadership of the Chairman Mr Ramesh Ramakrishnan and has been in the forefront of Shipping, Marine and Logistics field since the beginning of the renaissance period of the United Arab Emirates. Within a decade, the group built an infrastructure to launch other activities and businesses with a commitment to utilizing the best resources, setting the best standards and deploying the latest information technology as an integral part of the strategy for growth.

The group has offices in over 180 different cities / locations and currently employs over 2800 staffs from over 15 different nationalities. The group encompasses all forms of transportation through a number of divisions and has its own offices and representatives in more than 12 countries and has strong business associations with globally reputed carriers principals and trusted business partners all over the world.

As a group, Transworld owns and operates 29 ships employed in different regions, scheduled to take delivery of two more handy size vessels, has about 32000 containers in its inventory, out of which 7000 are special equipment containers. The group is globally well known for its reputation of operating reliable Liner and Feeder services for decades. It operates 5 Container Freight Stations (CFS) with good connectivity across the regions and about 340000 square meters of State-of-the-art Warehousing, Logistics and distribution centers, out of which about 45000 square meters of facility is in Jebel Ali Free Zone, fully equipped with various capacities of cargo handling and transportation equipments.
