Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Limited (SSL), part of Transworld Group of Companies, has received “The 2014 Gateway Award” for the best coastal ship operator of the year in recognition of its investments and pioneering efforts in coastal ship operations in India. The Gateway Award is one of the most coveted awards in the maritime industry honouring individuals, organizations and companies across India’s maritime industry. SSL is the pioneer & India's first container feeder owning & operating company and recently added a 1613 TEUs capacity vessel M V SSL Mumbai to their fleet.

Shreyas Shipping and Logistics (SSL), a Transworld Group company launched a NEW Coastal service in India, with the newly acquired vessel SSL MUMBAI. SSL is the pioneer & India's first container feeder owning & operating company. SSL Mumbai,1613 TEUs capacity vessel is the first coastal service ship to be registered in Kochi. The vessel will foster coastal shipping in India, increase trade on the west coast Mundra-Kochi-Mangalore-Goa- Kandla-Mundra route, on a fortnightly basis & the service provides direct coastal trade link between Kerala & places in the west coast India, particularly Gujarat

Forbes lists Mr Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan, Chairman of the Transworld Group of Companies as 'Top Indian Leader In The Arab World 2014'

The Chairman of Transworld Group of companies, Mr. Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan has been chosen and felicitated as 'The Forbes Top Indian Leader In The Arab World 2014' in an Award Ceremony held on 13th May 2014 in Dubai.

This recognition by Forbes Middle East is an award to the Chairman of Transworld Group, to recognize his achievements and more  importantly his commitment to the Middle East Region’s development through the businesses he leads. The Top Indian Leaders list is compiled by Forbes after extensive and detailed research into Indian business people residing or operating a business in the Middle East  region. 

Mr. Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan, with his usual humble note, dedicated the award to his extended family members, referring to his staff of Transworld Group of Companies. In a celebration gathering at Dubai, organised by the staff members, the Chairman of Transworld Group said " Hard work and reward would always be directly proportional and this is a reward for the dedicated hard work of my extended family members in Transworld Group''.
